Hi I'm Chris,
I am an educator, designer, and animator based in San Antonio, Texas, with more than 19 years of teaching experience. I currently serve as an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Art at the University of Texas at San Antonio and teach Animation and Graphic Design at Sandra Day O’Connor High School.
Through my personal creative studio, RiverCity Animation, I develop motion graphics, character design, and story-driven projects that merge classroom teaching with independent research and production. My work often begins as demonstrations or explorations with new tools—such as Adobe After Effects, Animate, and Blender—and grows into finished pieces that showcase the power of storytelling through animation.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I earned a B.S. in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education from Jones International University. Whether in the classroom or the studio, I am passionate about visual storytelling and committed to helping students and audiences alike experience the expressive possibilities of animation and design.
